Beth McAteer has asked Caroline Haynes to extend an invitation to all staff to Iain's funeral at Weeley Crematorium at 11.00am on Friday 13th August and afterwards at The Bell in Thorpe. Sally and the family fully understand that some of you who would like to come may not be able to do so. If that is the case they would ask you to give your thoughts to Iain on that day.

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Iain McAteer, teacher of ICT at Thorpe Campus has died suddenly. Our thoughts and sympathy go to his wife and family.

Congratulations to all our seventeen Arts Award Students. You have made us all feel very proud.

Well done to our budding journalists who did such a good job on School Report sports day. They were well organised and focused all day.

On Friday we had six judges arrive to assess our two regional winners from the National Teaching Awards. Three came to assess Dan Browning and three were for Becky Newman . The judges had come from far afield including Northern Ireland and Wales. We are thrilled that Becky and Dan have done so well and wish them the best of luck in the National Finals. The judges had a brilliant time at TTC. There was a lot of laughter particularly when they met with the Maths department. We are very proud of Dan and Becky!
